7 important guidelines for split AC installation
The installation of the split air conditioners is a crucial job. If the installation is done accurately your air conditioner will give optimum cooling, but if it is not done properly you won’t get the desired cooling effect. A poor installations also leads to frequent maintenance problems. Several factors have to considered during the installation of split air conditioner.
Strength of wall to hold the AC
The indoor unit of split AC must be installed on a wall strong enough to hold the unit’s weight.
Proper spacing between wall ans AC unit
The indoor unit of split AC requires at least 15 cm of open space surrounding its top and sides for proper air flow.
Appropriate installation height from ground
The indoor unit of split AC should be mounted at a height of 7-8 feet above the ground for adequate cooling inside the room.
Correct tilt angle of indoor unit
While fixing the aluminum bracket on wall make sure that the bracket is given a slight tilt angle, so that the indoor unit of split AC, when fitted is also at a slight angle to enable unrestricted flow of the condensed water from the drain pipe.
Correct location of outdoor unit
For proper cooling the indoor and outdoor units of split AC should be mounted at location away from direct sunlight and water. The outdoor unit of split AC should be installed in open space so that there is no hindrance to the heat dissipated from the condenser.
Proper placement of outdoor unit
The outdoor unit of split AC must be placed on a flat and rigid surface. This unit contains key components of split AC like compressor, condenser, fan motor etc. If the unit is not placed on a flat surface then it will vibrate excessively, which can lead to the breakage of copper pipes, coolant leakage and compressor/condenser damage. Further, the vibrating unit makes lots of noise which could disturb you and your neighbors.
Right distance between indoor and outdoor unit
Correct distance between the indoor and outdoor unit plays a very important role in cooling. The coolant at very low temperature flows inside the copper tubes between indoor and outdoor units of split AC. There is always some loss of cooling effect to the atmosphere when the refrigerant flows between the units. Hence to reduce this loss, the distance between the indoor unit of split AC and the outdoor unit of split AC should be kept as minimum as possible. The maximum allowable distance between the indoor and the outdoor units of split AC can be about 15 meters.
Ducted Air Conditioners are an amalgamation of technology and innovation, as they are well concealed in ceilings, which make them highly suitable for spacious offices, conference rooms, marriage halls, showrooms and other places. We also offer different kinds of services under this category, including AC Installation Service, AC Maintenance Service and AC Repairing Service.
A split air conditioner consists of two main parts: the outdoor unit and the indoor unit. The outdoor unit is installed on or near the wall outside of the room or space that you wish to cool. The unit houses the compressor, condenser coil and the expansion coil or capillary tubing. The sleek-looking indoor unit contains the cooling coil, a long blower and an air filter.
A split air conditioner is an efficient and cost-effective way to cool your home. It should be noted that the initial cost of this kind of air conditioning unit is significantly higher than a window unit and it does require professional installation. However, the amount of money you will save on your energy bills as well as the longevity of the unit will make it worth your while in the end.
How is a Split Air Conditioner Different From Other A/C Units?
A split air conditioner does not require major installation work because it does not require ductwork. Rather, the indoor and outdoor units are connected with a set of electrical wires and tubing. This is good for your wallet and the environment. The ductwork required for many traditional A/C units generally increases energy expenditures, as many centralized A/C units lose a lot of energy due to heat exchange in the air duct system. So, without a duct system, there is very little opportunity for heat or energy loss in a split air conditioner system.
Benefits of a Split Air Conditioning System
This kind of air conditioner system has many advantages over traditional air conditioners. Perhaps the most obvious benefit is the quiet performance of a split air conditioner system. The parts of an air conditioner that make the most noise are the compressor and the fan that cools the condenser. In a split system, the compressor and fan for the condenser are located outside of the room being cooled and therefore the majorsources of noise are removed – unlike with window units.
Another benefit of a split air conditioner system is that you can opt for a multi-split system, where you can have more than one indoor unit connected to a single outdoor unit. This makes it easy to cool multiple rooms or maintain the temperature throughout a large room through the use of two indoor cooling units.
Multiple Split AC
Today’s ductless air conditioners have more features than ever. In years past, they were primarily used in homes that didn’t have existing ductwork. While people still turn to them for this reason, they also do so to take advantage of many other exciting benefits.
Ductless systems are also known as mini split systems. A basic mini split system is capable of heating and cooling small areas. Multiple indoor blowers can be installed, so this type of system can be used to heat many parts of a home. With a basic system, however, temperature controls are installed in each room. Multi split air conditioners offer zone control, which means that you can control the temperature of each room through a single temp control.
Window Air Conditioners are a suitable option for cooling small spaces. It has an evaporator coil and a condenser coil that cools the room and drains out hot air, respectively. Under this category we offer AC Installation Service, AC Repairing Service and AC Maintenance Service.
